Tennessee Titans primetime matchups – No. 2: Indianapolis Colts
The Titans look to defend their AFC South title in 2021 but the one team in the division who has the best chance at stopping them this year is Indianapolis. The Colts are a good team and they added Carson Wentz this offseason after the Eagles decided to part ways with him.
The Colts’ 2021 season hinges on what kind of performance they get from Wentz. If he’s the guy prior to the 2020 season, they’ll be the favorites to win the AFC South, especially behind that dominant Colts offensive line. If, however, he’s still the same ol’ Wentz that we saw struggle in Philly last season, the Titans should be able to cruise to another division title.
All of that being said, the Titans and Colts seem destined to meet up in primetime this year, whether it’s a divisional battle on Thursday Night Football or even a Sunday night meeting between the two. The Titans struggled against the Colts for quite some time but split the series last year.
With the Jaguars still trying to turn things around and the Texans being a complete dumpster fire, it makes the most sense to have Tennessee face the Colts as their divisional showdown in primetime.
