Should the Tennessee Titans do it?

Long story short? No.

It is enticing to add the MVP to this newly revamped roster, especially after the Tennessee Titans got to see how brutally effective Rodgers could be last year in their worst loss of the year.

However, when you look closer there just isn’t enough for the Titans here. The picks aren’t a huge deal, but the problem is that giving up Ryan Tannehill should be a non-starter for Tennessee.

Jon Robinson has already seen how good Tannehill can be in this offense, so sending him to Green Bay means that he is probably going to continue this efficiency for the rest of his career. Even if you get a short-term bump in production from Rodgers, you are overpaying for a name and ignoring the real problems on the roster.

In all likelihood, the Titans weren’t going to be able to overcome their defensive woes last year even if Aaron Rodgers was the quarterback. Now that the defense seems to be fixed, the only positions that really need upgrading are the wide receivers and maybe the tight end group if none of the UDFAs pan out.

Tennessee would be better off if they invested in throwing future picks at high-caliber wide receivers like Julio Jones, Michael Gallup, Tim Patrick, or other veterans that would complement A.J. Brown in the passing game.
