Davis might be the best safety that Tennessee Titans fans aren’t discussing.

The release of Kenny Vaccaro on March 5th meant the Tennessee Titans had an immediate need at the safety position. No disrespect to Matthias Farley is intended, but his addition on March 25th isn’t evidencing that the Titans have totally satisfied that issue.

Shawn Davis, a six-foot, 206-pound safety from the Florida Gators could be what the doctor ordered. He may be a special teams contributor early, but he could evolve into something a little more important for the Titans defense, especially if the 123 total tackles, ten pass breakups, and five interceptions that he notched in 32 games translate to the professional level.

Davis contributed mightily to Florida’s cause from 2017 to 2020. He now sets his sights on the greener pastures of the NFL. Might Nashville be a possible landing spot?
