The Tennessee Titans still have work to do on this roster.
Following the Tennessee Titans’ playoff exit at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens in 2021’s Wild Card Round at the end of the most recent season, one thing was clear. The Titans weren’t good enough, nor talented enough, to win a Super Bowl.
While the 2021 Titans offense averaged nearly 30 points per game, they were too reliant on a spectacular Derrick Henry’s success running the ball, and as a result, they struggled to move the ball consistently when they were forced to pass.
The defensive shortcomings and struggles were evident thought out the season, as the team’s nonexistent pass rush and inability to get off the field on third down were two obvious Achille’s heels.
Before the 2021 NFL Draft, one in which the Titans have an opportunity to add starter-level talent at key positions of need like cornerback and wide receiver, the team had an opportunity to strengthen their roster through the NFL’s free-agency period.
Let’s take a look at the team’s key moves – and departures – from the past several weeks of free agency to identify how this team improved following their playoff loss to Baltimore and where there remains an opportunity for improvement.
