Cornerback is a position where the Tennessee Titans have a definite hole or two.

After the departure of Malcolm Butler and the release of Adoree Jackson, the Titans secondary will look noticeably different in 2021.

The team did try to mitigate these losses by bringing in Janoris Jenkins and Kevin Johnson, but that leaves much to be desired. The aforementioned duo of Jenkins and Johnson, along with second-year prospect Kristian Fulton is currently slated to handle most of the reps at the cornerback position.

If that makes you nervous, you’re not alone. Casey Hayward, a Vanderbilt alum, is still available. Hayward had 41 tackles to go with one interception for the Chargers in 2020, showing he still has some big-play ability.

Hayward would immediately be an upgrade over Johnson and would provide insurance for the young secondary. Let’s just hope that he’s willing to take a discount to play in his college town.
