The Tennessee Titans add some insurance at signal-caller.

Here are a couple of things that we can state definitively about Ryan Tannehill. He’s never going to be Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, but thank goodness he isn’t Kirk Cousins or Blaine Gabbert either. Once you look past Tannehill, however, the Titans have DeShone Kizer and Logan Woodside on the roster. There’s no guarantee that either of those guys can win games if they’re forced into action.

Kizer has 18 games on his professional resume with an 0-15 record as a starter thanks to his days with the Cleveland Browns. He’s thrown 11 touchdowns while tossing 24 picks. Woodside has completed one pass for seven yards. It would be wise for Tennessee to invest in another backup.

Northwestern’s Peyton Ramsey is as safe and as good a prospect as can be found in Round 6. He reads the field better than possible late-rounders like Felipe Franks. He’s a better pocket passer than Sam Ehlinger.

If you need any evidence of how great he can be, look no further than a gutsy performance in the Big Ten Championship Game versus the Ohio State Buckeyes. He’d fit right in with a gritty and determined team like the Tennessee Titans.
