Tennessee Titans top 5 roster concerns ahead of 2021 NFL Draft
The Tennessee Titans’ needs at safety outweigh those at tight end slightly.
With the need to get cap compliant, everyone knew the Titans would have their share of salary-cap casualties, and even though Tennessee retained Geoff Swaim and Anthony Firkser via one-year deals, neither of those guys are Jonnu Smith who left Nashville to start hauling in passes from Cam Newton in Foxborough with the New England Patriots.
MyCole Pruitt, Jared Pinkney, Tommy Hudson, and Parker Hesse are also on the roster, but that feels like a lot of bodies with no real answers. In the meantime, however, the safeties can’t even lay claim to having a ton of bodies.
As you know, Kenny Vaccaro is gone, so the theory is that Amani Hooker, Dane Cruikshank, and Kevin Byard are the top three guys on the depth chart. Still, knowing that there isn’t much other than Maurice Smith and Matthias Farley to talk about, it makes one feel like any injury in this unit would be a catastrophe.
