Trade!

The Titans are sitting with the 22nd pick in the draft and they are going to have plenty of suitors. Whether it is a team looking to jump up and grab their favorite running back or a team trying to take advantage of the EDGE/OT depth in this class, someone is going to make the Titans an offer.

In this case, the trade that made the most sense was trading 22 for 36 and 50 from the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have a loaded draft class for the next few years thanks to the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers, so they really don’t have the same need for 2nd round picks as other teams do.

This move gives the Dolphins their third 1st round pick of the draft and their sixth 1st round pick in the last two draft classes.

For the Titans this allows them to add another top-100 pick in this draft class and it means that they should now be able to draft five players in the second and third rounds which is where Jon Robinson has done his best work.
