Is Newsome a fit with the Titans?

ESPN’s Todd McShay is just the latest person to post a 2021 NFL Mock Draft where the Tennessee Titans select Northwestern cornerback Greg Newsome.

Rarely do we see media personalities nail the Titans draft pick at any point, much less this early in the process. Last year Mel Kiper and Todd McShay both mocked Yetur Gross-Matos to the Titans in their final mock, so take what they say with a grain of salt.

To be fair though, leaks are happening more and more within the organization, and Daniel Jeremiah and Peter King both correctly guessed that the Titans would draft Isaiah Wilson.

It seems like everywhere I have looked recently, the name that pops up more than anyone else is Greg Newsome. Lance Zierlein has had him mocked to the Titans in his past two mock drafts and Albert Breer had this fit last week.

So with all the buzz starting to point towards Newsome, I wanted to take a few minutes to look at whether or not this feels like something that fits with what the Titans have done all offseason and whether or not this feels like it fits with what Jon Robinson has done in the past.

Let’s start with the big question which is, “Does this feel like something that fits what Jon Robinson and the Tennessee Titans have been doing this offseason?”
