With the 2021 NFL Draft less than a month away, let’s talk about few fun prospects for the Titans to consider in the first round and balance that out with some practical names.

Year after year, the NFL Draft is the only time where all 32 teams in the league enter the same event and all come out winners. Well, most of the time everyone comes out a winner.

In theory, every NFL roster comes out for the better, acquiring young, talented players in the hopes that they’re the missing piece needed to take their team to the next level.

But while every team comes into the event with the same goal, the approach to reaching that goal looks different team by team, year by year. In the case of the Tennessee Titans, we’ve seen that fluctuation throughout the Jon Robinson era.

Some high draft picks, the ones like Jack Conklin in 2016, are necessary, but not necessarily big marketing potential jersey sellers. Others, ones like Corey Davis the following year, are fun selections that excite the casual football fan, one not too interested in watching offensive line play.

But 2021 presents an interesting situation for Tennessee, as they have practical needs, but enter the draft with the potential to also take some fun, exciting players as well. The route they will decide to take remains to be seen, but there are options in both camps for the Titans to consider.
