Dallas Cowboys draft haul
Round 1, pick 10: Patrick Surtain CB, Alabama
-I think this is the consensus pick for the Dallas Cowboys right now and it makes sense because Surtain feels like an easy plug-and-play cornerback that could immediately come in and help Dallas.
Round 1, pick 22: Azeez Ojulari EDGE, Georgia
-Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was drafted right before pick 22, but Ojulari and Trevon Moehrig were still on the board. After addressing the secondary with one high pick, I thought it would be a better idea to give the Cowboys’ defense another talented pass rusher.
Round 4, pick 115: Jaylen Twyman DL, Pittsburgh
-Marcus Mosher was the inspiration for this article, and of the iDLs left on the board, only Twyman had the above-average production that I thought would intrigue him. I personally like Twyman a lot and think that he would be a good fit on an aggressive defensive line designed to attack the quarterback.
Round 4, pick 138: Monty Rice LB, Georgia
-Keeping the Georgia-to-Dallas pipeline open, Rice feels like a good value here near the bottom of the fourth round.
