What I expect

With nearly $17 million in cap space and five positions where I think there is a moderate or worse need, I think the Tennessee Titans have to be pretty concerned about their offseason resources.

Now, news did come out today that the Titans officially received a 3rd round compensatory pick for Jack Conklin which will be the 100th pick in the draft. Generally, you find the bulk of your impact starters in the first 100ish picks so that is really good news.

The easiest and smartest thing to do is to stick to what works, and that means bringing back Corey Davis. However, that is up in the air since it looks like he will at least be given the chance to test free agency.

If/When that falls through, the plan needs to be finding at least one player at EDGE or WR that you are comfortable playing heavily for you in 2021.

Carl Lawson is the free agent EDGE that all Titans fans are looking at, and if we are focusing on the players that can make an impact but won’t get massive deals, Trey Hendrickson and Romeo Okwara should be mentioned.

At wide receiver, I think Will Fuller has the Texans connections that make Mike Vrabel fall in love again but his cost, injuries, and PED suspension are all red flags.

If Juju Smith-Schuester is falling out of favor with the league, the Titans might be able to get him for cheaper than anyone would have imagined two years ago and he has a high ceiling while also having the high floor of being a good slot receiver.

Marvin Jones and Kendrick Bourne are also guys that might end up falling into the late part of that second wave of free agents and they might have some value to the Titans.
