Titans plans for free agency and the draft drastically changed in 24 hours

Titans new offseason plans

In the last 24 hours, the Tennessee Titans made a few (big) moves before free agency and they have changed the way fans need to view this offseason.

The first move was essentially trading Isaiah Wilson for a 7th round pick. Now, Wilson was never going to be a starter on this roster but he might have pushed for a backup spot at guard if he really committed himself.

After that, the Titans released cornerback Malcolm Butler which really hurts because he was clearly the best defensive back on the roster in 2020. Now, we can argue about whether Kevin Byard or Adoree Jackson will return to normal in 2021 another time, but that is just a fact.

Finally, they released another defensive back when they cut Kenny Vaccaro. I thought this was a possibility, but I wasn’t as sure as everyone else because Vaccaro did a lot of things for the team and he and Butler were a key part of the run defense.

As it stands right now the Titans now have new holes on the roster and new positions that they may need to target in the draft. With free agency unofficially starting this weekend, I wanted to give everyone a primer for what the plan should be going into this offseason.
