3rd round, pick 84: Elijah Moore WR, Ole Miss

3rd round, pick 85: Quincy Roche EDGE, Miami

3rd round, pick 100: Dyami Brown WR, North Carolina

Looking at this mock draft as a whole, it is really about two things: rebuilding the defensive front and reloading the wide receiver position.

On defense, the Titans added:

-Nixon, defensive tackle who should be able to step in and be a three-down starter next to Jeffery Simmons

-Basham whose size give him the ability to play EDGE on base downs and then kick inside (if they want him to) on 3rd downs

-Roche who is a great pass rusher who I think has real starter upside in the NFL. He has been incredibly effective getting to the quarterback at both Temple and Miami, but size concerns are going to push him down some boards. Still, this gives the Titans a great DPR opposite Harold Landry on 3rd downs.

On offense the Titans added two players with connections to the best young WR in franchise history, A.J. Brown.

Elijah Moore broke A.J. Brown’s records at Ole Miss and he has over 2,000 yards in his last 20 games. His size is going to limit him to the slot, but if anyone understands how hard A.J. Brown works, it is Moore who played with him in 2018.

Dyami Brown plays under former Ole Miss OC and current North Carolina OC Phil Longo.

Under Longo, Brown has become one of college football’s best receiving threats with 1,034 yards in 2019 and 1,099 yards in 2020. In both seasons he averaged over 20 yards per reception which is a testament to his speed and route running ability.

Projecting into 2021, Brown and Brown would play on the outside while Eljah Moore takes over slot receiver duties from Adam Humphries. While the group might not seem imposing on paper, all three players are great after the catch and will get in your face as blockers.

Big plays on offense and big players on defense, mission accomplished.
