Round 2, pick 54: Carlos Basham EDGE, Wake Forest

With their first second round pick, the Tennessee Titans drafted someone to replace/upgrade the position that DaQuan Jones is vacating. With their second, second round pick they are going to draft someone to replace both Jadeveon Clowney and Jack Crawford.

Basham is another guy whose production leaps off the page, and while he might not be the most explosive player in the 2021 NFL Draft, he just rarely seems to get moved off of his track. If he wants to go somewhere, he is going to get there and you can only try to slow him down.

A nice effort player who moves well for a 280+ lb. EDGE, Basham would be a nice compliment to Harold Landry who often forces quarterbacks off the spot, but who doesn’t have anyone to clean up his play on the other side.

Basham’s production, versatility, scheme fit, and the need at EDGE just makes him too good to ignore in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
