Which Titans defenders are playing well?

I say all of this knowing exactly what the Tennessee Titans defense did for the entire 2020 campaign, but we need to talk about some Titans defenders that aren’t getting the love they deserve.

In a word the defense was bad.

More accurately, they were historically bad. That may sound like an exaggeration until you remember that they are the worst in the league in sacks per drop back and then they are literally the worst 3rd down defense since the stat started.

But, I am getting off-topic. This isn’t about what everyone thinks about the Titans defense, it is about which players are actually playing their best ball right now.

I would argue that the four standouts on the Titans defense this year have been Harold Landry, Malcolm Butler, Daquan Jones, and Jeffery Simmons. There are a lot of big names left off that list, but instead of talking about players like Kevin Byard and Rashaan Evans, let’s talk about players who are actually playing well.

Interestingly enough, I think that there is a player on each level of the defense that is playing their best football right now and it is a mix of young guys and a veteran that are going to make strong cases to play more in 2021 and it is going to start with a big game this week.

Here is a name you have heard a lot of lately…
