4. Jack Crawford, DL

Against the Green Bay Packers, Jack Crawford started the game on the bench. That might not seem like a big deal, but it is the first time that the Titans have started in their 3 DL look where Crawford hasn’t been on the field.

You could (and should) argue that the most consistent position group on defense is the defensive line and the top-3 for the season are Jeffery Simmons, DaQuan Jones, and Jack Crawford.

For some reason, the Titans wanted to see something different and obviously, it didn’t work. Nothing against Teair Tart, but it is a little bit puzzling why the Titans felt that they should get away from Crawford.

As far as I am concerned, Jack Crawford is being used out of position and he is still managing to do a good job. Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel should be ready to bring him back next year as a rotational defensive tackle or a 5/4i in three down linemen looks.

However, the coaching staff doesn’t seem to share my enthusiasm for Crawford and he may very well be fighting for his 2021 spot on this defense starting this week.
