Last-minute free agents for the Titans.

No matter how realistic it is, Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel need to be discussing potential free agent signings today.

The Tennessee Titans are sitting at 10-4 and there is a really good chance that they are going to go to the playoffs as either the winner of the AFC South or the top wildcard team. Not only that, but they are the highest-scoring offense in the NFL and are close to some franchise and NFL records.

Not all news is good news though as a potential Teair Tart sack was changed to a tackle for loss, and the Titans are now continuing a three-game streak with no sacks. The pass rush has been terrible all season and they continue to find new lows every week.

Now, that doesn’t mean that it is all on the EDGEs, DTs, LBs, or DBs, and I would argue that it is more of a systematic failure at all of the position groups and the coaching staff. Keep in mind, we saw a team with nearly all of the same starters put up 43 sacks last year and now Titans fans are watching all the glory of a Shane Bowen/Mike Vrabel collaboration that has registered 14 sacks in 14 games.

No single free agent will fix that, but we are at the point where even one sack would make a free agent the 4th most productive pass rusher on the team.
