8. Indianapolis Colts (+0)

Key stat: Quenton Nelson played left tackle for a few snaps today

So this isn’t really a detailed stat or something telling like the rest of the stats on this list, but it is more like foreshadowing.

Last offseason we heard a lot about Anthony Castonzo potentially retiring. Now, he came back and played this season, but he has been banged up and the Colts are dangerously thin at the position. In fact, they are so thin that they had to move All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson out to left tackle because their third-string left tackle (second string is on I.R.) was so pitiful.

With the playoffs right around the corner and Philip Rivers about as mobile as a pumpkin, the Colts better hope that they can get Castonzo ready for his last hurrah.

7. New Orleans Saints (-4)

Key stat: Taysom Hill’s third 200+ yard game

The Saints fell in a trap game to the Philadelphia Eagles in classic trap game fashion.

While the Eagles had all the energy that they needed because of a QB switch, the Saints were looking ahead to their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. That game basically decided which of those two teams were going to have to play an extra game in the playoffs. However, while they were looking at Kansas City, they didn’t realize that they were getting beaten up at home.

It was too little too late and the Saints fell, but to his credit, Taysom Hill managed to rally the offense a little in the second half before finally going down including his third 200+ yard game in four tries.
