Bad: Jonnu Smith (I guess)

This one was tough, usually I would have two separate articles for good and bad performances. However, today the Titans were very dominant and there weren’t very many bad performances.

If there was one player that could have stepped it up, I would say tight end Jonnu Smith.

Smith was one of the best tight ends in the league last season towards the back end. He was also very good at the beginning of the season, he was getting looked at a lot by Tannehill with 6.8 targets a game through the first four.

However, that number has dropped significantly as he finished this game with just three receptions for 33 yards.

I should note that even though Jonnu Smith has been gutting it out and doing the dirty work like blocking and occasionally moving the chains, there is a strong indication that he is dealing with a real injury.

After leaving the game against the Houston Texans with an ankle injury in Week 6, Smith hasn’t been 100%. You can look at the numbers and let me know if you think that he is 100% healthy.

Before Houston (4 games): 18 receptions, 221 yards, 5 TDs

After Houston (6 games): 11 receptions, 104 yards, 2 TDs (1 rushing TD)
