Round 5, pick 174: Larrell Murchison, DT

This is a pick that on paper makes a ton of sense. After trading away Jurrell Casey, the Titans had a gaping hole on the defensive line. And since Jon Robinson seems averse to spending big money in FA on the defensive line, trying to find a draft gem at the position grouping made sense.

But once again, this pick has not panned out. Even on a paper-thin Titans defensive line, Murchison has struggled to see meaningful playing time. The fact that he struggles to stand out among a group that includes Jack Crawford and Matt Dickerson, is concerning to say the least.

You have to assume Robinson and Co. were expecting more out of Murchison to this point. While Jeffrey Simmons has been excellent and DaQuan Jones has been serviceable, the likes of Crawford, Dickerson, and Murchison have all failed to stand out as the 3-4 DE.

Murchison has only 3 tackles and 0 sacks to this point, and his snap count is decreasing.

Grade: D
