NFL Power Rankings: Playoff picture takes shape before Week 12
By Will Lomas
16. Denver Broncos (+3)
When Drew Lock is bad, he looks like he is a bottom-3 QB in the NFL and when he is good he looks like he is top-12. That isn’t a compliment, but if the Broncos can find ways to make him comfortable and get him to play closer to that top, then you can win football games with him.
The rest of the team is solid and the defense is well-coached and talented, and if Von Miller comes back at any point this season then this could be a team that gets to 8-8 and makes some noise.
15. Cleveland Browns (+1)
Who needs Myles Garrett when you have Olivier Vernon am I right? 3 sacks in a single game when you are the main pass rush threat is incredible. In a single-score game, it isn’t hyperbole to say that he was the reason that the Browns won this game.
If you are looking for someone else to credit, feel free to praise this offensive line and Nick Chubb who played outstanding today.
The only question with this team is whether or not Baker Mayfield can take a step forward.
