26. L.A. Chargers (+5)

It was just the New York Jets, but last week my big concern was that it felt like the Chargers were a team that found ways to lose games by any means necessary. This week was different in the most important way, and that was that…well the Chargers didn’t lose.

I’m not saying that they didn’t try to find a way to give that game away, but at the end of the day, Justin Herbert’s great play was finally rewarded with a victory. For now, that is enough.

25. Houston Texans (+1)

The Texans have a really talented quarterback, but years of being poorly run have ruined their chance to maximize the window of him being cheap. Now whoever has to come in and take over will get a quarterback with a lot of talent, but pretty much nothing else around him.

Today was a reminder that he can elevate everyone around him, but it was also a reminder that a lot of their pass rush help (basically J.J. Watt) isn’t long for this team thanks to the rebuild that is going to have to take place next season and beyond.
