28. Philadelphia Eagles (-1)

The Eagles continue to be a team that is being carried by the run game and Carson Wentz looks like he is battling for a spot on the roster next season. Sure, the offensive line is banged up and lacks talent in key spots, but Wentz looks like a guy that needs an entirely retooled offensive line and a new group of receivers before he will even get close to sniffing what he used to be.

I’m not sure what you do if you are the Eagles, but it feels like the current recipe won’t ever work again.

27. Detroit Lions (-6)

If this were a power ranking just based on this weekend, it is hard to think of a reason not to put the Lions at 32. Put away any preconceived notions of who is on that roster and just look at what happened today.

The Lions faced a Carolina Panthers team with no playoff hopes, and they lost. Not only did they lose, but they lost by 20. Not only did they lose by 20, they were shut out. Not only were they shut out, but they were shut out despite playing against a Panthers team without their best offensive player and their starting quarterback.

This team has talent, but it is getting harder and harder to say that with a straight face each week.
