18. San Francisco 49ers (-5)

This is sort of a backhanded compliment, but we just watched an incredibly well-coached 49ers defense play as well as you could ask them to against the New Orleans Saints. Not only did they hold their own, but (and this is a little callous) they knocked Drew Brees out of the game and were very physical.

Despite that, Nick Mullens still managed to struggle to muster up 13 points as the 49ers lost by two touchdowns.

This is a team being dragged by a defense and despite a great effort, a banged-up offense couldn’t hang with a top-5 team. That is bad news for this 49ers team.

17. Chicago Bears (+0)

The Bears and Vikings play on Monday Night Football, and it is hard to move the Bears up or down any considering their last performance against the Tennessee Titans.
