22. New York Giants (+4)

So, let’s take a step back and look at the big picture because it is easy to overreact to a win. However, in their last 5 games, the Giants are 3-2 with their two losses being by a combined 3 points.

Right now the Giants are the 2018 Buffalo Bills except they are like…the diet, diet version of that team. They don’t have any of the flash or upside, but they are going to force you to pay attention to Daniel Jones as a runner and if you don’t they are going to make you pay.

From then on, you are going to have to deal with an efficient offense that will tear you apart piece by piece…unless you get anywhere within a 10-yard radius of Daniel Jones who at that point, will fumble and curl into the fetal position.

21. Detroit Lions (+4)

This seems like a big jump for the Lions, but this spot in the power rankings is more indicative of just how poor the bottom of the league is. Glass half full though, that means that I think that Lions aren’t in that lower tier.

D’Andre Swift looked great in his first start for the Lions and despite the close score late, this was a game that Detroit controlled for nearly every snap. Some iffy penalties in the fourth quarter made this look a lot closer than it was, but it also set the stage for a 60-yard made field goal from Matt Prater to win the game. So win-win.
