3. Wesley Woodyard, MLB

Formerly the Titans starting middle linebacker for the better part of the previous six seasons, bringing back Woodyard honestly could be an extremely underrated move for the team.

The twelve-year veteran and former team captain ended up having his role decreased last year due to the emergence of current starters Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans, but both of them have taken a gigantic step back this season.

Even with the last two games being much better for the pair (especially Jayon Brown), Mike Vrabel seems to be incredibly reluctant to let David Long see the field for whatever reason. The Titans are using Harold Landry lined up as a 3rd linebacker in their fronts WAY too frequently and if they want a 3rd off-ball linebacker with special teams ability, why not just sign Woodyard?

Last season, Woodyard racked up 42 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in 15 games and two starts last season. Sure, there is a great chance that you won’t be able to use him for more than a handful of snaps per game like the other players on this list. However, those snaps could be the difference in the tight games that the Titans have played most of the season.

Woodyard said after the AFC Championship last season that he had no plans to retire and hasn’t officially done so (see above tweet). While he may prefer to have a starting job, perhaps he can be convinced to rekindle his reserve role from last year, and maybe even play in a pinch if either Brown or Evans continue to struggle.
