5. Jack Crawford, DL
He isn’t playing as well as he did in the first month and a half of the season, but there is Jack Crawford deserves a lot of respect on his name. For my money, the defensive tackle power rankings look like this:
1. Jeffery Simmons
-gap-
2. DaQuan Jones
-gap-
3. Jack Crawford
-gap-
-gap-
-gap-
4. Everyone else.
You could make the argument that Crawford and Sambrailo were the best acquisitions that the Titans made this offseason and we weren’t even sure if either one of those guys was going to make the opening day roster at one point.
Give Crawford credit though, he is versatile enough to play against tackles if he needs to, but he thrives against interior offensive linemen where he wins with power, quickness, and pursuit.
There isn’t a great case for anything more than a one year deal for him this offseason because of how that ties you up long term and his age, but he should absolutely be back in 2021 as the team’s third-best defensive tackle who has the range to start in three-man fronts.
