16. Cleveland Browns (-2)

It is hard to knock the Browns too hard for losing that game against the Raiders because the weather conditions were insane. The reason that I am moving them down at all is because of that old cliche that both teams had to deal with the weather.

Focusing on the Browns, I think that this game would have been different with Nick Chubb on the field and I think Cleveland really lost this game with their inability to get the Raiders off of the field and the fact that they got outrushed 208 yards (on 45 rushes) to 101 yards (on 22 caries).

In a game where the winds are knocking people over, it helps to be able to move the ball on the ground and the Browns overthought themselves.

15. Minnesota Vikings (+1)

The Vikings finally went all the way in on making Kirk Cousins a backup option in this offense and he passed just 14 times all game. To be fair, there wasn’t ever a reason for him to do anything else because Dalvin Cook scored every one of the Vikings touchdowns in this game (4).

I have always been high on the Vikings in these power rankings, so they didn’t move much today because they are still who I thought they were. However, it is going to be interesting to see how well the Vikings can keep this up.

On one hand, you can’t give it to Cook 40 times per week, but on the other hand, they don’t have to play the Packers again so the hardest part of their season is over. Maybe they won’t have to rely on him as much?
