Trade for Stephon Gilmore CB, New England
Cap space is great, but you know what is even better? Winning games when you are a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
After these last two games, it is easy to forget that Tennessee should be viewed as a playoff team much less a Super Bowl team. However, the offense has been outstanding for the season and the defense has been holding them back at every turn.
The Titans already traded for a cornerback, but that was a slot cornerback. As it stands right now, unless Adoree Jackson goes through a week of practice and actually feels like he can play in the game on Sunday, Johnathan Joseph is still projected to be a starter.
That can’t happen.
Gilmore adds another match cornerback to this defense who has the skills and size to be a huge part of this team. I mean, in case everyone has forgotten, Gilmore is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL. That is something the Titans could use even if they already added a slot corner in a trade.
