A.J. Green, WR

Wide receiver A.J. Green is a player most fans know about. He has been in the league for nine years and has had some great seasons.

At 6’4” the Titans corners will have trouble with him on the outside, especially when their biggest cornerback (Adoree Jackson) continues to no show on game weeks.

A.J. Green has had an interesting start to the season. After a video of him on the sideline saying he wanted to be traded surfaced, most people were ready to call him washed and move on.

Looking back at the seven games he has played this season, you would be forgiven for thinking that this was a step back season for the Bengals veteran even though Green has put up some decent numbers.

Joe Burrow has targeted Green 58 times so far this season, while Green has only caught 29 of those passes for 298 yards and zero touchdowns. So why is he someone to watch?

Well if you look closer at the trends from Green and not just his season totals as a whole, it looks like he is starting to get hot with 15 receptions for 176 yards in his last two games.

Even if it isn’t predictive, Tennessee fans may have bad memories of the three times A.J. Green has played the Titans in his career.

In 2011, Green had 7 catches for 83 yards, in 2014 he had 6 catches and 102 yards, and in 2017 Green ended up with 5 receptions 115 yards and a touchdown, while the Bengals went 2-1 over that stretch.

Forget the murmur of “A.J. Green is washed” from fans who aren’t watching him, Green has been lethal against the Titans for his entire career and he is heating up at the wrong time for Tennessee fans.
