16. Minnesota Vikings (+0)

The Minnesota Vikings have a bye week so they won’t move until the Week 9 power rankings.

However, they did trade Yannick Ngakoue this past week and announce that Danielle Hunter was going on I.R. permanently. No team in the NFL waves a white flag, but this is about as close as you can get. Expect them to fall hard in the next power rankings.

15. Las Vegas Raiders (-1)

I honestly don’t know what the Raiders are. In all honesty, they could be five spots lower on these power rankings and I would have a hard time arguing that they didn’t deserve to be there. What saves them though is that they can show up in big games.

This team started 2-0 against pretty solid Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints teams before falling to AFC playoff contenders. Then in a make or break game, they beat the Kansas City Chiefs, which should have been huge for them.

Well, when they finally looked like they were turning a corner, they get blown out by the Tampa Bay Bucs and they also have a massive COVID concern that looms over their heads. I don’t know where this team ends up, but they need to strap in if they are going to get back into the AFC playoff hunt.
