20. New England Patriots (-3)

The New England Patriots started off so promising, but now it seems like they have run out of ways to make Cam Newton look like the old Cam.

Maybe this was just a fluke, but this isn’t really a hard breakdown. Without a game-breaking quarterback, the talent across the board just isn’t there for the Patriots to succeed. A lot of people are using that to condemn Bill Belichick the coach as a product of Tom Brady, but the failure of this team is all about the incompetence of Bill Belichick the GM.

19. Los Angeles Chargers (+1)

Like every team on this list with a rookie quarterback, the goal for this entire season is to find out what you have at that position, and right now it looks like the Chargers have a star in Justin Herbert.

The score is inflated for Jacksonville because of a blocked punt for a touchdown, but the Chargers actually did a really good job on defense across the board.

I think that this team continues to show that you have to be able to stop their vertical passing attack if you are going to slow them down, and even then you have to be able to hold off a pretty good defense on the other side.
