22. Indianapolis Colts (+1)

Have you ever seen someone fall down an escalator that is going up? They roll in place and continuously stumble, but if the escalator is going fas enough, they will still manage to fall back but get pushed upwards towards their destination.

That is the Indianapolis Colts.

Despite messy, ugly football where they can’t seem to take two steps forward without taking one step back, the Colts continue to find ways to win games and stay in the mix for a post-season playoff berth.

Philip Rivers had a nice comeback day today, and even with an interception, it was a nice way to bounce back from everyone presuming that you are dead in the water.

21. Miami Dolphins (+3)

I don’t usually move teams up when they beat the New York Jets because I don’t think what you do against a preseason team matters (mostly kidding). However, the Dolphins looked dominant in their shut out against the Jets this week and this Miami team is 3-3.

Now to be fair, they have beaten bad and broken teams, but they are 3-1 in their last four games and there is only so long that you can keep a team down for things out of their control like schedule.

I still don’t think they are great, but they deserve to be out of the bottom-10 in these power rankings because Ryan Fitzpatrick is fun and the defense looks incredibly well-coached.
