Jadeveon Clowney vs. Buffalo Bills interior offensive lineman

The Titans come into this game without their two starting defensive tackles, Jeffery Simmons and DaQuan Jones. There’s a small possibility that Jones gets cleared in time for the game, but we can’t assume that at this point in time. It’s a shame Simmons won’t be able to play because he could have had a field day against the interior of this Bills offensive line.

The Bills’ tackles have been very good so far this season, as Dion Dawkins and Daryl Williams have neutralized most outside pass-rushers so far this season. The Bills’ guards and centers are another story. Here are the PFF grades for the interior of the Bills’ line: Cody Ford (54.4); Mitch Morse (59.4); Brian Winters (46.9). Ford and Winters were also limited in practice and come into this one banged up.

That noise you hear is the bells signaling for the Jadeveon Clowney breakout game. Clowney is yet to register a sack as a Titan, but his constant pressure while rushing has been apparent and he has two tackles for loss through three games. With Simmons and Jones out, Clowney is probably going to play a ton of snaps at “defensive tackle”. As we’ve seen in the past, Clowney can absolutely wreak havoc when lined up on the interior of the defensive line. This is a spot for him to assert his dominance.
