Bills, Titans matchups to watch.
The shorthanded Tennessee Titans face the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday night and will need to take advantage of certain matchups to win.
The Tennessee Titans’ season has been thrown for a loop over the past few weeks. Positive COVID cases were popping up left and right every morning. The facility got shut down for an extended period of time. A group of Titans players worked out together and were deemed to have broken protocols, yet now it seems they were actually not technically in the wrong. Amidst all this, the team’s Week 4 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was postponed and the Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills was on the verge of cancellation.
Thankfully, the Titans went a few days without any new positive tests (for players at least) and the Bills game has been rescheduled for Tuesday night. The Titans finally returned to practice on Saturday and can prepare normally for their Week 5 game, despite being down several starters – some due to injury and most due to COVID infections.
With so many new players required to fill in for unavailable guys and other Titans likely to be forced to play in positions they don’t normally play in, the coaching staff is going to have to come up with ways to gain an advantage over a Bills team that has started out the season 4-0.
Let’s go through some collective and individual matchups that the Titans could use to get an edge in this game of undefeated AFC powerhouses.
