4. AFC South action

Hopefully, you have NFL Redzone because this week all three of the Titans AFC South rivals are going to kick off at noon.

The Indianapolis Colts have their first decent competition of the year in the Chicago Bears. Indy has to make the quick trip to Chicago and play the now Nick-Foles-led Bears to see whether the Monsters of the Midway are back or if it was all a mirage.

Less compelling is the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincy and the Jags somehow find themselves as underdogs against a team that hasn’t won a single game this year despite having a long week to prepare! If they can’t win this game and if the Colts lose, it is going to make both teams look very bad.

Finally, the Houston Texans are going to host the Minnesota Vikings in what could be one of the weirdest games so far this season.

Because the Titans ended up with this COVID spread in their locker room, the Vikings had to wait until Thursday to practice. However, this is a weird game for the Houston Texans who don’t have a win on their record and who desperately need to beat the Vikings this week.

The problem with that is, despite losing to the Titans last week the Vikings had an incredible day on offense with Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson both having record-setting days. If that offense comes into the game confident and if the Vikings get a little bit healthier this week, then this could be dangerous for the Texans.

One of these teams is going to be 0-4 after this weekend. Even with the expanded playoffs, the last decade shows that whoever goes 0-4 will drop from a 6% chance of making the playoffs to a 3% chance.

On the other hand, winning this game boosts your odds from 6% to 16% which is a nice bonus to no longer being a laughing stock in the NFL.
