Busy weekend for Titans fans.

Well…Tennessee Titans fans are probably not pumped today.

Like Mike Vrabel said, the country is in the midst of a pandemic so it isn’t anyone’s fault that the game this weekend is going to be postponed, but that doesn’t make it hurt any less. Compound that with the fact that this was supposed to be the long-awaited return for fans in Nissan Stadium and you would be right to think that Titans fans might be a little bit down in the dumps.

But, I don’t want to focus on that. Instead, if you were a Titans fan who had centered your sports watching weekend around this game, let me give you four other things to satisfy your desire to watch something that will impact Tennessee.

Like everything in your sports weekend, I am going to start out with some college football on Saturday, specifically the SEC.

Now, if you are one of the Titans fans who doesn’t live in the South or whose favorite team isn’t in the SEC, let me just explain why you should be interested in what happens in the SEC more than any other division.

Under GM Jon Robinson, the Tennessee Titans have spent a top-50 pick on an SEC player in 4 of those 5 drafts, and over the last three years Robinson’s first two picks in each draft have been (the names in bold were from the SEC):

2018: Rashaan Evans LB, Alabama

2018: Harold Landry EDGE, Boston College

2019: Jeffery Simmons DL, Mississippi State

2019: A.J. Brown WR, Ole Miss

2020: Isaiah Wilson OL, Georgia

2020: Kristian Fulton CB, LSU

That is a pretty strong trend, so let’s look at which games you might want to watch live to see some future Titans.
