Help is on the way

Right now, the Titans secondary has basically been Malcolm Butler on the right side,  Johnathan Joseph on the left side, and a combination of Chris Jackson and Kristian Fulton inside playing the slot.

Adoree Jackson is on I.R. at least through Week 3, but last year he played on the left side consistently and I think that the Titans want their defense to have corners that stick to one side and who aren’t match up players.

So, the change coming in the secondary is going to be Butler and Jackson on the right and left side respectively. However, the biggest change is that should mean that the Titans can focus on Kristian Fulton being the full-time slot cornerback.

I’m not sure why they are splitting reps between Chris Jackson and Fulton now, but it is becoming increasingly evident that Fulton is a step ahead in this contest. Finally having the same players in the same position week out should help the chemistry on defense for the corners who seem to constantly be playing on their heels.

As frustrated as everyone has to be with the defensive backs today, just know that help is coming and hopefully, the trickle-down effect and time make everyone better.
