2. Kansas City Chiefs (-1)

The Chiefs won in overtime, but it was way too close for comfort. The reason why they didn’t fall down this list any further is because:

1. We know how good Patrick Mahomes is.

2. Harrison Butker might be the most dangerous kicker in the NFL given his crazy range and how easy it is for the Chiefs to get into position for him to score.

1. Baltimore Ravens (+1)

The Baltimore Ravens aren’t some mystery, what they want to do is they want to score quickly by mixing in interior runs, QB reads, and then a vertical passing attack. The problem is that if you ever fall behind then you are at the mercy of their defense which is built around preventing teams from coming from behind.

Today, the Ravens hit Deshaun Watson 18 times (13 QB hits, 5 rushes) and they were able to turn the ball over as well. Now, the Texans aren’t great, but this is the type of offense that you would think had a chance to score points if they needed to.

The evidence is clear, the Ravens have one of the best offenses and best defenses in the NFL, and they have the best combination of both. They have earned the top spot in the NFL Power Rankings.
