Harold Landry and Jadeveon Clowney

The Tennessee Titans have a pair of EDGEs in Harold Landry and Jadeveon Clowney, who should both be licking their chops to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars based of of their last meetings.

Last year, Harold Landry had 2 TFLs, 2 QB hits, and a sack in his matchup against the Jaguars and he routinely looked like one of the better players on the field at any given moment.

While Clowney didn’t play the Jaguars in 2019, he did play them in 2018 and he had 3 TFLs, 5 QB hits, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery in those matchups. Given that Clowney lines up all over the field, this means that he has experience against four of the five offensive linemen in today’s game.

Just looking at those four games and not including the impact that other players on the defense will have on this game, that tandem should have an “over/under” stat line of 1.5 sacks, 2.5 TFLs, 3.5 QB hits which is pretty significant.

I don’t know whether this EDGE tandem will dominate today, but I would bet that they are very confident in their matchups today and everything is going to be just a little bit easier than it was on Monday when they played at midnight in a place with no oxygen.
