Will He Be in “Game Shape”?

Living in Colorado, I can assure you that altitude sickness is real.

That said, I can also assure you that I’m nowhere near being a pro-athlete either. In my opinion, Clowney’s conditioning will be a fascinating story-line leading up to kick-off. Denver is not the easiest place to play as-is, and without any training camp, he only has a few days to get up to speed in this defense and get into some form of game shape.

Conditioning is without a doubt going to be what determines how much we as Titans fans get to see the star edge-defender show on the field.  Kuharsky mentioned that Clowney’s personal trainer; Danny Arnold of Plex Athlete, stated on the Midday180 Tuesday afternoon that he believes Clowney is ready to go with even more ability to effect the QB this year:

All of the talk is great, but we’ll need to see just how ready #99 is when he steps on to the grass for the first time in two-tone blue at Empower Field at Mile High.

With that being said, if he is even remotely close to being in game shape, I think we can expect an immediate impact from the teams’ prized free agent acquisition.
