Ups

Chris Jackson, CB

-The 7th round rookie has been the forgotten man in Tennessee’s draft class, and a lot of that is because the Titans went from having no cornerbacks to adding four in the span of a few weeks. During that time Jackson got pushed to the back of everyone’s mind, but it should be noted that he is a very athletic player with a collegiate resume full of production.

If you are going to gamble on a player in the 7th round, you want to gamble on someone with his traits, testing and tape. It sounds like he is getting more reps with some injuries, and that is a great chance for him to make his case to earn a spot on this roster.

Larrell Murchison, DT

-Murchison didn’t make splashes today, but in general, the vibe was that the defense won this practice and in particular the defensive interior won often, as noted by Buck Reising (more from him later):

Murchison is a guy who the Titans would love to see develop quickly, and if he is fitting in behind Jeffery Simmons and DaQuan Jones, then that is good news for the Tennessee Titans which is badly needed when this draft class is brought up.
