Let’s make a deal

The Tennessee Titans went into the 2020 NFL Draft needing to add a slot cornerback, but their defensive back depth is actually very good.

What helps everyone here is that the Carolina Panthers are scheduled to get two compensatory picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, a 5th rounder for Vernon Butler and a 7th rounder for Daryl Williams.

The names that the Titans will be willing to part with are probably going to be worth something somewhere in that late Day 2, early Day 3 range. I expect that Malcolm Butler, Adoree Jackson and Kristian Fulton are the safe names at cornerback, while Kenny Vaccaro and Kevin Byard are locked in at safety.

You can also probably mark Johnathan Joseph off of that potential trade list too. He was a free agent for so long that you have to assume if that if the Panthers were interested they could have just signed him. Also, given his age and relationship with Mike Vrabel I think that he is more of a locker room player and player-coach than anything else.

Who does that leave on the trade block for the Titans?
