Tanner Morgan QB, Minnesota

Morgan just lost his best receiver to the 2021 NFL Draft, and with the season being canceled you have to assume that his ties to the Minnesota program get more tenuous every minute.

This isn’t to bash Minnesota, but this is an opportunity for an ascending quarterback to make a change and put himself in a position where he can succeed for a season before leaving. As it stands now, how can you look Morgan in the eyes and tell him that he wouldn’t have a better chance at LSU or Alabama?

He needs to be refined, but there is a lot of talent there and with his arm strength and ability to keep his eyes downfield on play action passes, there is no reason to think that he wouldn’t thrive in the SEC.

Alternatively, he faces another season of being an underdog in the Big 10 without his top weapon and potentially more losses besides that. This is an easy call for me.
