Could former Titans DB Logan Ryan be headed to the Jaguars, Texans or Eagles

Jacksonville Jaguars

This is no fun because no one really wants to see Logan Ryan play in the AFC South. Ryan was one of the key leaders brought in to shift the culture in the locker room and he did a lot of great things for the Titans.

However, the Jaguars have a big need at the position according to Mike Clay:

The biggest thing that Ryan can offer the Jaguars is the first-hand insight into what the Tennessee Titans struggle with as well as how to stop Jacksonville’s kryptonite: Derrick Henry.

Adding Ryan isn’t going to be a magic pill that suddenly makes the Jaguars defense good, but he is going to be someone that isn’t afraid to tackle Derrick Henry in the running game. As you may recall, finding a DB who tackles in Jacksonville is incredibly rare so you would think this would be very enticing.

Another big feather in his cap is that the Jaguars love to be aggressive on defense and they aren’t going to be able to get a great pass rush with Yannick Ngakoue and Calais Campbell both gone. One way to help that is by blitzing one of the best pass-rushing cornerbacks in the NFL (especially now that you can play him at safety where blitzing is more common).
