26. Miami Dolphins (finished 26)

What I said at the end of last season:

"I am very impressed with the coaching that the Dolphins have right now. Brian Flores has been outstanding given the incredibly limited resources he had to work with. Based on the talent on this roster, I would put them either worst or at 31 but the coaching is so good that I can overlook that. Although I should also say that having so many high draft picks over the next few years also makes it easier to rank them higher than their draft position."

Looking back:

The Dolphins are the team that was bold enough to draft Tua Tagovailoa despite an injury scare and as a whole, they are one of the more interesting teams this year. Just on offense, they have:

-An OL with Austin Jackson (1st round rookie OT), Ted Karras (former plug and play iOL for the Patriots) and two recent top-100 picks at guard.

-Devante Parker and Preston Williams, two massive receivers with immense talent.

-A deep group of RBs

-Surprisingly nice group of “other” weapons like Allen Hurns, Matt Brieda, Kalen Ballage, Jordan Howard, Mike Gisicki, and Albert Wilson.

The front seven of the defense is subpar, but then again you have the most expensive group of DBs in the NFL in Byron Jones, Xavien Howard and Noah Iginoghene which should make the front seven’s job much easier.

This team is well-coached and probably motivated to shake the “tanking” tag now that they have their QB of the future. With Tom Brady gone, is it their time?
