Titans named as ideal trade target for San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert
By Will Lomas
49ers RB Raheem Mostert has asked for a trade and the Titans might oblige.
A few days ago Raheem Mostert asked the San Francisco 49ers to trade him, which should have caught the attention of Tennessee Titans fans.
Now, I will get into the reasons why GM Jon Robinson should or shouldn’t make this move in a second, but there is a good chance that most Titans fans don’t know a lot about Mostert.
However, if you are paying attention to this site then you will know that last year I actually mentioned Mostert as an ideal trade target for the Tennessee Titans before the 2019 season. What made Mostert especially interesting was the he was a good special teams player as well as an intriguing running back in the 49ers crowded backfield:
"With a good special teams coordinator and the right blockers, you might be able to get similar production out of Mostert if you think that the Titans need to load up heavier at running back due to a logjam at wide receiver. As a running back, his action has been very limited but last year he did average 7.7 yards per attempt on 34 runs which is a decent sample size."
Now, I don’t know that the Titans would have won the Super Bowl if they would have had Mostert last season but let’s look at what the team would have looked like with him.
