It feels like the perfect time for the Titans to make a trade.

Right now it feels like the Tennessee Titans are in the eye of an invisible hurricane and they should be tied to two major stories around the NFL.

The first is obviously the biggest piece of news today and that is the Kansas City Chiefs deciding to make Patrick Mahomes the highest-paid QB in NFL history with a new contract that the terms “mega-deal” or “blockbuster” don’t do justice.

Details are flying around about what the contract may look like, but the person to break the story and the man constantly supplying inside looks at the deal is (of course) Adam Schefter.

The most up to date info on the magnitude and the potential total value of the deal is this:

Mahomes deserves to be paid like the best QB in NFL history based on his impact on this roster and the success he has had alternating between MVP honors and a Super Bowl win in his two years as a starter.

While I don’t question the decision, everyone needs to understand that this isn’t a move made in a vacuum. There will be players on that rosters who “lose” because Mahomes got paid. Why?
