8. Derrick Henry’s double duty
It isn’t often that you get a chance to complement Derrick Henry in a way that hasn’t been done before, but I have that rare chance now.
Despite it getting lost in the defensive dominance of the second half, Henry actually scores the Titans first touchdown of the season, the first rushing touchdown of the season and the first receiving touchdown of the season.
On a team that had Delanie Walker, A.J. Brown, Corey Davis, Adam Humphries, Jonnu Smith, and Dion Lewis (who they forced onto the field as often as they could) it is shocking to me that he managed to get all three of those.
Maybe even more important is that this was the first time we really got to see what an offense could look like if Derrick Henry was the focal point, or at least the first time we had seen it outside of December.
The coaches lost their way a little bit in the early/middle of the season, but the blueprint was there from Week 1.
